No, sorry! I'm guessing you've already checked your local operators who do theatre trips etc, but there may be a Megabus service you could use, either to Birmingham city centre (then train to Birmingham International) or possibly to the Airport - some of their services call there - which is little more than a hop, skip and jump from the NEC, using the Air-Rail (formerly Maglev) link.
no i dont believe there are coach holidays / day trips to the nec!
however check national express or megabus websites and hopefully they run services to the nec - national express runs services from most major cities to birmingham.
btw if it helps anyone, the NEC is part of birmingham airport with a walkway ( a long one ) connecting the airport terminal to the nec building.

If you can get a coach to Birmingham Airport it is possible to walk from there across to the NEC using the shuttle train between the airport and the Railway Station.
About 15 mins walk if I recall.
Thanks for your help. We could come by car but not really practical to do it there and back in one day as only one of us drives and we wouldn't get much time there, and was just trying to avoid the hassle of finding a hotel near enough etc. It would have been much easier if we could have just done a coach trip.
Never mind we might start looking at the hotel option.
