I used to love a cup of coffee but over the last few years I just can't find a coffee that actually tastes like coffee any more. I don't know if it is just my taste buds that have changed but it all tastes like the scrapings off the coffee room floor!
Perculated coffee might be better but it takes a little while to make and is wasteful just for a couple of cups so I would prefer instant.
I did buy a cheap columbian coffee from Tesco a few weeks back which I thought was not too bad but as always when I find something I like Tesco seem to stop selling it!
What brand of instant coffee do you find the best?

There is a Lidl not far away so I will take a look, Aderynglas...thanks. I also find decaff even worse.

Not being a coffee snob, I love my instant. I love Nescafe Gold Blend. I can't drink 'propper' coffee, tastes too bitter for me

Aldi for me. Either their Gold blend equivalent or they sometimes do versions of Alta rica, Columbian etc. Much cheaper than named brands.

For instant coffee I quite like Carte Noire. Every now and again Tesco and Aldi will have it on a half price offer, we just stock up and do the same next time the offer is on.
Never paid full price for it.
I also bought a one/two cup cafitiere a few years ago which is ideal and I can choose my coffee,I also take it camping /caravanning.

Ive had lidl pods but I find them a bit bitter, our favourite is Taylors lazy sunday, I always put a extra sugar in coffee as I find all coffee is a bit bitter, you can get a excellent coffee maker from Currys for £19-99 that you can make 1 cup or 10

Usually I use my tassimo but if I have instant then alta Rica or millicano.

I too use a tassimo in the house but in work we try and get something around £3-4 for a small jar and I have found I like carte noir more than the rest of the ones I we have tried.
