funnily enough was parked next to one at tesco today and was surpised to see rust all round the nearside rear wheel arch . bad for an 07 car.dont see many rusty cars that age ( apart from ford ka of course )
Just come back from a trip to London, and got in the taxi at the railway station, and it was a Citroen C8 Picasso HDi on a 56 plate, and because of the engine, I looked at the mileage:

I would say if a peugeot has any rust then its been in an accident and the panel has been replaced with a non peugeot panel. 24 years of peugeot ownership and never seen any rust

The trouble is the french cars seem hit and miss regarding build quality and reliability.Some will give a 5 star review and others a 0 star review.
My brother had a xara which was totally reliable but eventually died so ho got another one.The current one has had no end of problems and now he just wants rid of it as its costing so much to sort.
Another family member has a 307 and again its cost loads as its always going wrong.
I personally think you are taking a risk buying french now.
You could have a fantastic car you love that runs for years costing little or you have a lemon with big repair bills.
