I ripped out the tendons holding my arm onto my collar bone. Was in a sling for 4 weeks. Didn't stop me doing anything really that I could manage one handed.

I went camping with a shoulder impingement, and I found it really difficult. Apart from the pain and only having one arm to work with, it was difficult doing most things. I came to the conclusion that I really should have stayed at home.
However, three steroid injections later, the shoulder is better, but will never be completely right, so I'm carrying on anyway, regardless!
When I broke my collar bone, I was told to rest it for a few days and then exercise my arm and shoulder to stop it seizing up. Was able to do most things within a couple of weeks and virtually back to normal within a month.
It's still a month till Easter, so you should be fine.

Yeah, I was told by every doctor I met I was unlucky not to have broken mine. My collar bone still sticks up 4" if I move my arm a certain way.

Well, Jorge Lorenzo was able to ride in MotoGP last year within days of having surgery after breaking his, so I'd say go for it, but take plenty of painkillers.
