Been having a browse in the Caravan Section and came across a post that said the best lube is candle wax.

Mrs Surfin is in the shower, i'm on the bed and wanting to know the best way to apply it

Used a candle just last week on my awning zips, just rub the candle itself up and down the open zip a few times and thats it, remember when you first start using the zip bits of wax will fly off so be careful of staining

Does it have to be rubbed up and down quite vigorously before the bits fly off and you get staining?
