Does anyone know of a pay as you go SIM card that doesn't loss it's credit after a month ?

Virgin do a SIM only deal....£15.00 pm for unlimited calls, unlimited texts and unlimited data.

Its a rolling contract so can be cancelled at anytime and the signal coverage is amazing. My OH is always tethering to my data as his is crap with O2

Might be a bit more than you're putting on your phone at the minute, but if you're losing money each month, then PAYG is a false economy. plus you wont have to use it carefully/sparingly.

I am just about to order it for my little'en so she can keep in touch

I have been on Tesco PAYG for many years and top up when I need to and if any credit left at the end of the month it stays there.

Tesco PAYG gives you £20 free credit when you top up £10 which lasts one month, then you just use your credit and top up when necessary. We found it cheaper than a SIM only deal, but that's just us.

I have Orange PAYG and have had it years. I top up with £10 whenever I need to and it stays there. Sometimes when I top up they give me extra credit. I guess I top up a couple of times a year (Billy no mates, me

I though pay&go sims that lost unused credit at end of the month went out years ago? All the main phone providers pay&go sims retain their credit for all time. You just have to make 1 call or text every 3 or 6 months I think to keep them alive.

As michell8 says a call or text every six months will keep the SIM and credit alive on most networks and MNVO's. However if you buy boosters they normally only last 30 days and the credit for this is used up immediately you buy one but the booster runs until you either you use it all up or 30 days pass.

No, My Great Aunt had a phone on T-Mobile and gave it to me to fix as it didnt work anymore - I had to get a fresh sim card for it, and the person in the EE shop said "you need to make a chargeable call every 3 weeks to keep it alive"

Considering this is a phone aimed for the older generation (one with big buttons etc.) they know that they are giving this to someone who is never going to use the phone until they need to, and if the credit has expired then its useless (except emergency calls obviously)

Well they were wrong, Asda when they were on Vodafone was 3 months, most others are 6 months and with T-Mobile if you exceed the 6 months you can depending on how long over recover the number and credit by calling them, no other network does that to my knowledge.

Here I use these for my tracker. The network piggy backs off orange/ tmobile.

Is there a minimum period of commitment?
No. With Family Mobile, there's no contract. There's no monthly fee. There's no minimum monthly top-up. You pay only for what you use. It's that simple.

500mins 5000 texts plus internet and a free Samsung Galaxy fame smart phone phone for £10 per month. (tesco)
Why bother with pay as you go, if you do the sums it works out cheaper.
My brother has the same deal with a samsung 3 mini for £8 a month, not sure who with though

Another vote for giffgaff here great value for money and the credit doesn't run out, but you have to use every six months to send text or make a call to keep it active.

My daughter is on O2 PAYG and her credit never expires. I'm surprised that any actually does. Vodafone was taken to task about 15 years ago for that sort of practice ( remember watching it on watchdog) She just needs a text or whatever every 6 months or so

However if you were to buy any of the packages that they offer (such as a set amount of texts etc) that expires within 30 days. But adding money in the normal way and paying for calls and texts as you use them then the credit is yours to do with as you please for as long as you have it left

Have Vodafone contract phone as required to but have two £10 O2 and EE phones with PAYG and only top up rarely but at least use them once every six months just to keep accounts alive.
