If any moral standards need querying then it is that of the advertiser not of the dance group or the person who posted this trying to help them out!
ps... op I voted, I wouldn't normally have done so but thought you deserved it!
Of course I looked at the link and of course it is all to do with advertising...so does that make it morally better or worse?
The point is that we have groups of youngsters who are being manipulated into competing with each other in order to 'win a prize', not on their abilities within their chosen group but on their ability to drum up blind votes from anywhere regardless of whether they deserve financial support or not.
I have not criticised the OP or the group. I have criticised the methods used to gain a financial award. Who could be criticised is debatable...both the advertising company and those knowingly taking part bear responsibility for their own moral standards. However, £300 a month for the company is chicken feed and probably a lot cheaper than traditional advertising methods and they obviously don't much care who the money goes to providing it generates thousands of hits on their website...not to mention the email addresses they acquire.
Perhaps I will vote for one of the other groups just to even things up a bit...doesn't matter which one of course.

Bob you clearly had no idea when you first posted as you thought you were voting for best performance.
"I agree entirely and I was brought up to believe cheaters never prosper. How can anyone give an honest vote if they haven't seen the performance and the standards of all taking part. This is disgusting!"
You should be a politician with the U turns and spin you are putting on it and trying to turn this into something it isn't.
Maybe your strong views should be channelled into enlightening youngsters or volunteering your time for some cash strapped and volunteer strapped youth groups?
I can honestly say what a stir this has caused part of me wishes I hadn't posted it but I was only trying to help raise funds for our small dance school. Thank you to those who voted and apologies to those of you offended. I must add I was never asking you to vote on the danceability of the group as that would be impossible.
I've voted. Good luck to them. Those who are causing such a fuss; why begrudge a group of kids a simple online vote. What's the likelihood you would have voted for any of the others? OP has created awareness of the need to support groups like this, so well done.
Voted, good luck, to those complaining yes it may be cheating as u say, but others will be doing it and if it is,going to be online then this is going to happen. No one said you had to do it x

No apology is required to anyone on here from you.
Best of luck.

In actual fact I was initially responding to a comment that Bernie posted and at that time had not looked at the website. After subsequent comments I did look at it and therefore changed my opinions slightly. My original viewpoint though remains the same and for a load of total strangers to be persuaded to vote for somebody or something they don't know and have absolutely no knowledge of is wrong.
...and as a retired police officer of 30 years service I have done more than my fair share of enlightening youngsters and volunteering to help youngsters both officially and in my spare time and for all sorts of reasons...what have you done?
There's only one person trying to stir up the SH1T here and that is you sunny jim.
