Now Nora can bow to me
Doing a course doesn't make you a good driver, it just means you've done the course.

I do about 300 miles a week in and around P'boro and villages why are there so many useless drivers about, this is not restricted to a certain car model, or age etc: ( I could point out some that are but won't)
Not indicating at all
Slow down so much at traffic lights, then puts their foot down so only they get through them
Not in the right lanes
Straddling two lanes whilst turning right, you cannot get past on the inside to turn left
Cutting you off when you on the inside as you go round roundabouts
Not acknowledging when you give way to them
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!
Do you have any other ones that you see a lot of?

So Mr Perfect?
Let him that is without sin?????
Of course I'm perfect Transporter I'm actually female
One pet hate is people who are in the left hand lane approaching a round about and indicate right and then proceed to go straight on at the round about.
I tend to have a sixth sense about truck drivers. I can always guarantee that although its a dual carriage they always leave it until the last minute to change lanes so they can turn right at the round about.
There's quite a few roundabouts near us with traffic lights on - it's only the traffic lights that keep them moving!
I'm not a perfect driver by any means, BUT I know how to use my indicators on a roundabout (and use them), I stay in my own lane on a roundabout (rather than going straight on by taking a straight line from left-hand lane to inside of roundabout to left-hand lane, totally ignoring the fact there's other cars on the roundabout!), and I actually LOOK before changing lanes. Where I live, that puts me in a very small minority!
As for reversing into parking bays - why do people reverse into parking spaces at supermarkets, then try to squeeze a full trolley between the cars to get to the boot?!!! Drive in so the boot is accessible, and reverse out - simples!!!
If you leave any sort of gap between your car and the one in front people pull out of side turnings regardless of traffic speed. Giving way is gradually becoming a thing of the past around here.
The problem is there are still people like me who do give way particularly when I'm turning right out of a side turning. If you stop then more often than not someone behind will appear next to you and either turn right as you do on the near side or try to overtake you during the manoeuvre. The worst thing is someone did it on the off side, right next to my drivers door the other day & I nearly hit him as he overtook and I turned (yes I was indicating & checked my mirrors, I was concentrating and there was no seatbelt/phone/radio fiddling to cause a delay). Apparently stopping and checking it is clear wastes far too much time now.

On behalf of myself and around 20 odd 4x4 owners I know who are and do take their vehicles off road - all of us in a safety/Red Cross/St. John's capacity, nothing p***es me off more that 1, the arrogant 4x4 who have them for swank and who get us a bad name and 2, those who fall for the sad vitriole that all 4x4 owners are like that. As for assuming one can hop onto the grass verge to allow someone passage on a very narrow or single track road, I will happily send the driver of the vehicle who went through a passing place the bill for damaged tyre(s) and suspension because there was a deep offlet or large rock hidden there.
Ratcatcher, please tell your Dad that I've transported one calf and several sheep over the years in mine, but never yet a pig. It wouldn't bother me if I did - I like pigs of the animal variety.
Sorry ficklejade but he's 84! can't tell him anything. I think he has seen too many Chelsea tractors
