Pretty much sums it up I think.
While I get what the OP is trying to say the original post was inaccurate and misleading which is all I was trying to point out. Maybe rephrasing the post to make the statement accurate would have been better. They seem to have taken umbrage when I was purely pointing out the inaccuracies of their comment. I'm sure they would have done the same had it been me that had made the post.

They knew the risks. But if you ever raced or took part in a dangerous sport, competitively, and honed skills to the enth degree, you also have the utter belief in your own immortality. Unfortunately not always correctly. The high price paid has to be weighed against the test of skill and bravery, which gives thrills not possible to describe. I thoroughly enjoyed the debate But the same type of lads flew Spitfires, one time. And climbed Everest. and so on. And like the Dunlop family, they are legend. Enjoy.
