I wonder what the Scots do now? Surely that's the only reason they watch it. Their sweepstakes are usually about getting the team that knocks England out. 3 way tie this time.
PS we only watch rugby here in Wales.
The problem is,we get so sick to death hearing how fantastic England is.Even when England has been knocked out the commentator has got to mention that some player in a foreign team plays with an English one as if the team were gods.

But you probably only hear it in England? It's a natural thing surely...?? Don't the Germans, French, Spanish, Dutch etc etc have the same thing as each tournament approaches? It's just a natural desire for your national team to do well......none of us really expect them to. Half the fun is in the wanting!!
I'm pretty sure the English weren't wishing Scotland 'out' when they last qualified for a major tournament.......

So you are assuming that all the Scottish people were
wanting the English team "out"..
Is that based on the one post from a Welsh person who seems to know what the Scots think about the English.
How many posts have you seen from Scottish people wishing the English team bad luck???
You see we do not need to say anything the English and the Welsh apparently think and speak for us

You forget that the press and tv are actually received in Scotland and they are the ones bombarding the whole of the UK in the run up to every major tournament. It does get a bit trying. I'm dreading 2016.

I was wondering how long it would be before we Scots took a swipe! I always wish a national team well, regardless who it is if we arent in it. But, for some reason this anti-English thing is always instigated. Sigh!
