Aw congratulations Gail, can't wait to see pics. We are considering getting a puppy in September but my last dog left us in 2000 so it's been a long time and I'm trying to remember the all it's needs that I need to consider and adapting the house and garden. Haven't got hubby fully on board yet but working on it, have lots of fun with your new addition to the family xx

Thanks folks.
Its like having a new baby in the house...I had forgotten as its 12yrs+ since my last puppy! She is doing really well and I've taken lots of photos BUT I'm useless at posting pictures and haven't had the time either!! I am only on now as shes had breakfast and is dozing in her bed!! We are going out each day just to get her used to being alone for short time.
I'm trying to sort out half term too deciding whether to go away for week or just a weekend with her. It would just be me and son no 2 (9yrs) so not sure how difficult it would be. She can't go out for another 5 weeks (our vet wanted to re-vaccinate 1st shot as they don't use breeder vaccine - so put us back 2wks!) so she wont be lead trained by time we're due to go.

We started lead training with all our dogs, firstly by letting them trail a lead around the house, then when they were used to it, we took hold of it, we then ventured into the garden and by the time of the last injection all lead trained and raring to go. Give it a try
