Hi folks! I've missed being on here. Just had the most fab 3 weeks up in Aviemore (40th birthday treat, don't normally get to go away for that long!).
We had epic weather - I even dared to complain I was too hot at one point. Thanks to my new (to me) converted VW with toilet (for my IBS mainly!) and wee stove, we were able to take some brilliant trips, which I wouldn't be able to do without a loo aboard. Best one was from Aviemore over to the Appplecross Pass in Wester Ross - wonderful views to Skye, Raasay and a peak of South Uist. Though it was the scariest road ever!
Also found the energy to climb a few mountains. Bliss. Wish I knew how to post photos here.
Pity I feel rubbish again now I'm home, but ho-hum! x
Glad you had a good time, wonderful to have 3 weeks away, I know from your recent posts you've had a rough time lately (similar symptoms to me but that's another story)!
We managed a week away recently (1st holiday in a long time) and it really does re-charge your batteries doesn't it! Anyway good for you, sounds like a wonderful holiday to remember.
Yep! Aviemore has that effect on most people, we are up there minimum 3-4 times every year.
You can just wonder around Rothiemurcus Forest, lots of walks short and long, easy or heavy duty.
For all it has thousands of people visiting its still a peaceful place to be..
We hope to be there end Aug early Sept.
Glad you enjoyed your break and hope you feel better.

Everybody feels rubbish when they first get home from a good camping trip but the break will have done you the world of good. Wish I could escape for that long
