I feel sometimes...Not just in the "Social Media context that there is this great underbelly of society that is rotten to the core....Yes there are so many good things that happen in society......But as in the case of this young girl...The underbelly society flourishes and marches relentlessly on...And we only get a glimpse of it when something like this happens....
We all know of or have experience of those who can make others lives a misery....And still it goes on generation after generation....This relatively new Social Media Bullying is just a newer outlet for a certain percentage of our society who get their kicks from this sort of behaviour....
Not nice....Pure evil in fact....I for one have no answers to it...Except perhaps a withdrawal on my on part from any social activity except with a few close family and friends.....

The story I related to you has turned out to be a very, very cruel hoax by and internet troll. Possibly somebody who attends the high school here. We got a letter home from school about it and the police are heavily involved.
But think of it this way, you started everyone talking on here. This may have carried on in people's homes and they may have had discussions with their children - we did.
That's a good thing, there will be children who have talked about this with an adult, who may never have done so. They now know that they can and hopefully will understand that a problem shared is one that can be solved.
Other children or parents, may google the subject, and find the thread, and find it helpful.
So what was, I agree, an evil act, may end up having a positive outcome
