The battery on the above car - a 2006 - keeps draining, lasting no more than a day from fully charged. There are no warning lights showing and it's not the battery as this has been changed to no avail. Any thoughts or advice much appreciated before an stupidly expensive trip to Honda!
Have you had the battery checked ?? it may have dropped a cell & why go to Honda go to a smaller garage it will be miles cheaper and probably better service
As above it could be a relay, i have a diesel car and when i switch off the ignition everything switches off, but when you listen, 30 seconds latter, you can hear several relays switching.
check the boot light switch and door switches turn off the interior and boot light
Could be that the vehicle is not shutting down & going to sleep.
Get the battery & charge rate checked
If all ok get the current draw checked when locked
Should be below 0.05 amps
Some cars can take up to 45 mins to shut down fully.
I remember reading somewhere about some early Honda 2.2 diesels having a battery drain issue, an electrical issue. I would call Honda, as they will probably tell you the problem and may even fix for free (they repaired the roof of our 9 year old Jazz for free when the seals leaked water into the spare wheel well). Have a look on Honest John website, car reviews section, think that's where I saw it.

This is what Honest John says.
Fuse board of 78k mile 2007 i-VTEC EX+ estate caused battery drain by shorting out due to water ingress from bulkhead vent well.
You might have a look there and see if there is any sign of water ingress.
