You could have a hire car available for you at the airport with a full tank of fuel and absolutely everything covered on the insurance for about £100 for the four days. Have a look at Do You Spain web site and view the terms and conditions. The £100 is the car rental, the extra insurance to cover wheels and glass ( a rip ofv I know but it is better that the other rip off of paying for someone elses damage ) and the cost of a full tank of fuel ( which if you look at the terms and conditions you can get back if you return it full ). The car I have illustrated is a Gord Fiesta.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013
Alsa bus by far the best and cheapest. Buses run to benidorm every hour. Go up to the top floor, out the doors and there they are.
Car ok if you want to get out and about otherwise the hire itself is reasonable but you never get told the extras you need so could end up costing a lot of money. Plus you still have to pay for the petrol at least 60€ which you'll never use in 4 days. Then, once in benidorm you will still have to find somewhere to pay to park.
Hi we are regular visitors to Benidorm and we use the transfers that Travelrepublic offer the shuttle transfer is £28 return for 4 passengers or a private taxi/mini bus £148. We have used both options depending on how many of us have traveled and we have been happy with both options. Ok the private one is straight to your apt/hotel but you do get what you pay for and if you do the shuttle you will save £120 thats alot of beers in Benidorm.
Thanks for all the replies , the car is not an option because we are going for a boozy weekend. Had a look at all the others and booked the shuttle bus on travel republic at €6.90 each return...
Thanks to you all as usual for all the great advise

Me? I'd ge the bus.
The hire costs I quoted included literally everything including fuel. The car and all its insurances so that you have no excesses and nothing that is not covered comes in for about £40 for the 4 days, the charge for a full tank of fuel is about £60 and they will refund most of £45 pf that if you return it full with a receipt from a local garage. So for less than £100 you have a car for 4 days.
