Nowt to do with camping/caravanning so hope it's ok for me to ask whether anyone else is still waiting for their tax credits award notice, I've completed my renewal, received a text from HMRC to confirm they received it & they it will take up to 8 weeks, I'm sure this was back in May!?!?!?! Am concerned although my payments are continuing so I'm unsure why I've not yet heard anything :-(

I had to call them last year when my husband changed his job. It was a bit of a nightmare negotiating all the recorded messages - press 1 for this, press 2 for that etc and 5 minutes later I finally got to speak to someone. Hardly worth it for £2 per week. It used to be so much easier in previous years.

There are two types, working tax credits and child tax credits. Both are to boost low income.

I tried to ring them just before the end of July with details only to find they were short staffed due to a strike. The deadline for renewal was thus extended so I posted the form back.
I have received 2 letters since then, one the award for last period and one to amend payments for this.
I would give them a ring (and yes I do realise what I am suggesting you do!!!!)
