Just a heads-up that you can use Tesco Clubcard points to pay for young person's railcard - £15 worth of points for a £30 annual railcard. Very useful for students.

Possibly Club card points can be used for other categories of railcards too, I confess I didn't look.

I can save £15 by shopping at Aldi rather than Tesco, or any of the other big 4.

We got our 'two together' railcard using Tesco vouchers. Saved the £15.00 in just one journey.

Students can also get a discount off the price of the 16-25 railcard if they are NUS cardholders.  Just log onto NUS and get the discount code.  Daughter just renewed hers.

My daughter has just finished university. Whilst she was there, she had a bank account at NatWest (for her student loan and bills) and they gave her a 16-25 railcard for free.
