I Just thought it may apply to some folk on here Calor Gas Ltd is issuing a product recall on all 6kg CalorLite cylinders manufactured between 2008-2011 inclusive.

------------- Exercise every day and Die Healthy....
Both of my Calor Lite 6kg. cylinders need replacing according to the dates on the bases and none have the 5.5 mm. diameter hole punched in the tare disc which identifies that they have been officially tested by Calor. One is full with no usage and the other about 80% full but when I returned them on Saturday to my stockist they refused to exchange them. They said they won't exchange any until they have had confirmation from Calor first. That was a wasted 35 mile round trip for me going to the storage to check them, taking them back to the stockist, returning them to the caravan and then back home again. It states that customers need to return then immediately in bold letters which means NOW, not Wednesday as stated in smaller writing.
THANK YOU for highlighting this, VERY much appreciated.
Just spotted these threads last night, checked mine and mine is part of the recall.
In Southampton, GO is showing out of stock online so I went to SoCal and they had quite a few. Absolutely no problem with getting replacement.
------------- Excitedly making camping plans for this year.... just can't make up my mind at the moment!
We just replaced our two at Go Outdoors. One we know now was definitely dodgy as the caravan smelt badly of gas twice & hubby swapped bottles over, he was going to have a look at the fittings when the recall letter came in - dodgy bottle was a recall bottle.
