Exactly what we found. That DC04 was the worst vacuum cleaner we have ever owned. We ditched it for a Miele 'Cat & Dog' which is brilliant and does the job in half the time. Now, of course, is too powerful to be sold.

The flap holding the tools has broken off, the one wheel is missing and the on/off switch is jammed in the on position meaning you have to stop it at the socket but I stuck two new filters in it this week at a cost of £2.99 (inc postage) off Ebay and it is back to trying to suck the tiles off the floor. I don't think I would replace it with a more modern Dyson though, our local tip always seems to have a selection in when ever I go.
