On a farm site last week and least 10/12 vanners had a visit from mice.
lots of chewed holes in different things awning bags chair bags seat cushions and even electic cables with dead mice plastic awning carpet.

I noticed all the attacked vans had dogs, are mice dog lovers or just after the doggie treats ????

three vans in a row two either side had dogs one middle had none and wasn,t attacked.
One guy caught 8 using chocolate peanut butter in mouse trap.

all drop out holes in my van have 2mm square stainless steel mesh. other vans had open holes in front locker or chewed plastic vents so bewarned.but we did have one uninvited friend a robin invited himself into the open boot of our 4x4

Eeww... well it has been a long growing season for the plants, so I suppose that works for mice too! More opportunities to reproduce = population explosion, and competition for food and nesting sites, with the weather hinting at turning colder now.

Harvesting has just finished in many areas so the mice are still looking for winter nesting areas.

We have to keep our doors shut at this time of year otherwise we get a house full of mice, a couple of years ago I caught thirteen.

Looking on the bright side if you get mice you know you have not got rats.

PS the OH is a smoker but I make her go outside to smoke even when pouring down reduces the amount she inhales.
she swore blind she saw rats running round site at night.
But I think she was dizzy with smoking ??? or were squirrels there were plenty around during the day all greys no reds.

I was just reading this thread sitting at my kitchen table and jumped out of my skin as a pencil just upped and rolled away and I caught it out of the corner of my eye!
