Has anyone got them after market gas xenon Hid's fitted to their car?

My brother and dad has them fitted, but when I've looked into fitting them to the Shogun, people on the net say I can't fit them as I have a 'negative switched' light system.

I'm no sparky, so could anyone translate / explain??

means negative goes through the switch/relay other makers positive goes through the switch/relay.. you can fit them but you will need to fit 2 relays to make them work.
now people will add aftermarket hids are illegal..they are not illegal,they say as vehicle dont have waseh wipe or auto levveling on headlights, but mot rules say if its not fitted must be a pass

I know Jay.

Just been grilled on another forum about that they need the levellers and headlight washers.

And they need to be an equal original (OEM?) fitment to the same model too to make them legal.

As far as I know, they can only be fitted legally
to vehicles which have projector type headlights. I did consider having them when I had a Vectra but was told it would fail an MOT for that reason.

I have a friend that has them fitted to 2 vehicles neither have head light wash or self leveling always pass the mot no problem. I was told the rules have changed and it is not an mot requirement yet ?

So projector lights, are they the one where the 'pattern is made by the rear of the light and not the glass on the front that's cut a certain way??
