Hoorah! MeXiCaN wAvE! Got the same problem myself: I can get volunteer jobs till the cows come home that require the same skills as paid jobs, but getting someone to part with cash for my time is nigh on impossible, I was 51 last September
I've also got a permanently dislocated right ankle (well permanent till someone finally does something about it) In the rare event that I make it to an interview, as soon as they see me dragging the leg and using a walking stick, it's game over.
