Yep, my Son was looking into becoming an electrician a couple of years back, at 28 then was not eligible for any of the apprenticeship schemes.
Unfortunately he was contacted by one of the scam merchant's, that promise the earth, but deliver nothing.
One of those were you stay in your current dead end job, with, with a view to becoming an electrician via online courses.
All it turned out to be, was a scheme to land the applicant with a big fat loan, at extreme interests rates.
Luckily, Son walked away from it all, without getting burned.
You have to be so careful these days, with this kind of stuff.
