There's a question I've asked several times, and never had an answer yet:
"Is there a level of behaviour from JC which even TG fans would find unacceptable?"
In the absence of an answer, I can only assume there isn't one. Certainly, physical violence doesn't seem to be have reached it. As for the deniers...
a) He turned himself in. The producer didn't dob him in.
b) After an investigation, the BBC published a report saying it happened. I see no objection from The Bully.
c) When James May rather sweetly referred to a fracas, did we think that was JC saying:
"I say old chap, what a shame the kitchen has closed for the night, but as we threw the schedule out completely by stopping and boozing somewhere else for 2 hours, I completely understand. and clearly, it's my own fault. Not to worry. Give us a bag of cheese n onion."
Because, that's what happened, right?
As to the future of the licence fee, I think it's doomed, for all sorts of reasons. In the meantime, the BBC spends nearly £5B producing award winning content across TV, radio, and online. And because the contract for one presenter on one show has not been renewed it's all worthless. Wow.
The solution is easy. If you only ever watch ‘on demand’ programmes, you don’t need a TV Licence. On demand includes catch-up TV, streaming or downloading programmes after they've been shown on live TV, or programmes available online before being shown on TV. ‘Live TV’ means any programme you watch or record at the same time as it’s being shown on TV or an online TV service.
The equipment used or the method of delivery is no longer relevant.
When don’t I need a TV Licence?
