Just hopped into the TARDIS and jumped forward an hour... aka I forgot until five minutes ago to change the clocks.
Now I will spend the next few weeks commenting on things and relating them to the 'old time' before we put the clocks forward...
For example, tomorrow morning I might say how tired I am and then comment on how it is 'really' only x o'clock, and in a few weeks time I will probably say how light it is in the evening for a given time and then refer back to the fact that it is 'really' only y o'clock.
It drives the OH mad... long may it continue, and it probably will until the clocks go back and I start on it the other way around

There was an excellent program on Radio 4 yesterday, by Stephen Fry, talking about time zones, clocks going forward & back etc. With a great quote from an American Native Indian - "only a white man would cut a foot off the top of a blanket and sew it onto the bottom of the blanket and think he'd have a longer blanket." There are still only 24 hours in a day, some of us prefer the light early in the day and some prefer the light later in the day.
How could you wake up at your usual time and find you had an extra hour to play with bearing in mind we lost an hour... unless that is... YOU ARE the Doctor!

On the subject of time travel in real terms, if we could realistically travel back say 500 years to a specific date on the calendar, how would people see a projected image of a real person from a time zone projected 500 years from the future?
An apparition of some sort would have to be evident so when people see a ghost is this what they are really seeing, a projected image from a distant time from the future?
It's something that nobody considers regarding the locic of others seeing ghosts because it could be fact that it's not a matter of that some can see ghosts and others can't, it's a matter of being in the right place at the right time.
They may not after all be spirits from the other side but a logic explanation that still nobody has ever thought of.

That would be a reasonable assumption assuming that 500 years from now they have started wearing 16th century clothing again and carrying their heads underneath their arms.
We changed all clocks except the two in the bedroom. Woke with a start at 6.20 wondered why it was so light as it was really only "5.20" and went back to sleep. Woke at 6.50 and realised at was actually 7.50 and we were late!!
