i have a vectra cdi battery flat but still green in spy hole its happend to me too times now in 4 days i wait 30/40 mins go out and it starts what can it be thanks

Crank sensor won't give the same symptoms as a flat battery. You say it starts 30-40 mins later, have you, in that time charged the battery?

If you haven't, I can't see it being a battery fault.

I would be looking at cable connections and the locking/immobiliser system..

Try bump starting wen it does it if it starts sounds like starter moter .or cud be earth strap from body to gbox

 Have you  tried putting a meter across the terminals to see if it is actually flat and maybe not some other fault?
