Well I don't know where the stunning gorse was but I certainly didn't see any. When I went there four years ago much of the cliff top in the vicinity of Ellins tower was covered in gorse, with lots of colouful little alpine-type plants growing in various places - last week there was nothing, the whole area was grey and totally devoid of any colour, as if maybe the land had been on fire at some time.
