As it happened I watched "it was alright in the 70's" earlier on sunday. A programme which mocked attitudes in the 1970s tv progs. Amongst other stuff it mocked trained elephants on stage and oversexualisation of women.

On BGT we had trained dogs on stage and female judges with their breasts half exposed and trained dogs.

Not much appears to have changed except the animals and breasts have got smaller.

I personally thought the dog act wasn't that good in the final but hey a 3 legged dog and story about training guide dogs is vote winner eh ?

I wonder if those were taken away what the outcome would have been ?

Only 2.4% difference in the scoring won it.

I hate the animal acts because let's face it getting a dog to balance on some ropes in a way that looks like it's uncomfortable isn't good viewing and basically cruel.

And to add to this its just being discovered the flipping dog that won it didnt even do this part
" a stunt double " did the rope bit.

What a con for those rang in to vote. Vote for us but we wont let on he didnt do it till after we have won.

The shows getting slated online for alowing this deception.

At least with the magician you knew it was a deception...

I just think each to their own.

I hate soaps but I know others love them so I wouldn't go an a thread about soaps and shout them down when all someone wanted to do was to have a friendly discussion.

Thats the trouble.....in the end people won't want to post for fear of getting a load of anger thrown at them, it's getting like that. Some just like to up their post ratings.
