I currently work as a Midday Assistant and I've just been offered a teaching assistants job at the school my daughter's attend for a 1st September start.
I have to give one months notice and term ends July 22nd. I am paid pro-rata so should get paid over the holidays as annual salary divided by 12 to facilitate August pay. Can anyone advise how I submit my notice? The school know I'm leaving so they can advertise etc. Do I wait til last day of term and submit it stating last day of work 31st Aug? Or do it now with same end date? Can I "work" notice over the holiday period?
Any advice appreciated.
