Their schools allow them 2 weeks off for Wimbledon, wondered what would happen if their parents wanted them two have two weeks away from school;for a family holiday?
Maybe they are Scottish or Irish and already on holiday......but somehow I doubt it.

it takes 5 months of training to become a ball boy / girl at Wimbledon. and its very strict and professional.
its almost military training.
So if i had children and they made it to that stage ill be one proud parent and would be a fantastic experience in that kind of environment.
and as an employer i would see this as a very big accomplishment it shows they have teamwork, character and determination to get there. also pride in there appearance
It may teach them to run after a ball but does it help them pass their exams, not impressed and hate tennis.
Bet their parents do not get fined for them not being at school.
I was a ball girl at Queens, the week before, centuries ago when Billy Jean King was around. Yes it was during school term time but we had to catch up the class work that we'd missed, homework still had to be done on time. Rather than weeks of training, we started young on outer courts with someone who knew what to do at the other end, having been briefed on the Do-s and Don'ts; and if you were lucky and good enough you eventually reached centre court after many year's experience. Being on the net was the hardest.
