Hi All, does anyone know of any nice seasonal pitches in the area of Skipton, Grassington, lngleton, Hawes, or anywhere in the West Riding. What we are looking for really is a site with winter storage as well, l am aware that these places do exist but are often by word of mouth. I have looked at a lot on here but some sites dont advertise what we are after.
Not quite in the areas suggested but you might give Highfield Farm, Tunstall, near Catterick Garrison a try. It's a beautiful site with superb toilet/shower blocks, fishing pond and tennis court, a small area for children under 10 to play and NOTHING else. It is mainly seasonal with over 100 pitches and only 7 for tourers so the site is beautifully kept. Your caravan stays on the same pitch (unless you want to take it away) over winter so there are no worries. We were on the site for 4 seasons and only moved because I wanted a static in Northumberland. Catterick Garrison is close at hand for Tesco, Aldi & Lidls. Truly a lovely site and the price is in line with most other places.
We are also pondering whether we would benefit from a seasonal pitch next year. I used the seasonal search on here - but found that quite a few sites mention seasonal on their websites - but aren't on the list on here. It's well worth just looking at every site in the area you fancy to see if they do seasonal.i know that's a bit of a task - but I've enjoyed it.
Marylin-is Highfield Farm a noisy site? Or quiet? I've seen you recommend it before when I searched previous threads. It is top of our list and are hoping to stay - but can't get away till end of September. We are a couple with a Westie and the area is ideal for us.

Hi Rachel, It is a beautiful quiet site with lovely dog walks in the area but also has a special dog walking field which is fantastic. There is good spacing between vans so you don't feel hemmed in but if I were you I'd check it out asap. No shop or pub (15 min walk into village) but for me that was one of the best bits as it helps keep the tranquillity. You obviously do get some children but as the play area is small and only for small children it helps keep the site quiet. As the owners home is right in the middle of the site they are always on hand to keep the place running smoothly. When you do go give my regards to Andrew (the owner) he is really nice and very, very helpful.
Passatboy ,Wood Nook (Threshfield) and Langcliffe Park (settle) both do seasonal pitches in the area you are after. I looked at both of these but they're a bit too far for us to have a quick getaway.
Marylin I've emailed Highfield farm to book a touring pitch for mid Sept (unfortunately due to other stuff we can't get there any sooner). It sounds just the job for us. I suppose a few weeks will give us chance to be sure we want a seasonal pitch.
Rachel
Hi Rachel, When we were at Highfield there were a couple of caravans on the touring pitch being used only at weekends and the owners said they were trying it out to see if they liked seasonal so if you have a word with Andrew and see if he has space he may let you do the same. If not he may come up with another idea, he really will bend over backwards to help.
