Lol...at one time they sewed a sort of rubber lining to trousers waistbands which helped to grip a shirt and hold them up. They may still do that on more expensive suits and trousers. Unfortunately, the trousers I can afford hardly have a waistband at all
How about double sided sticky tape like that you can use to stop carpets sliding about, it might be a bit painful if you want to go without a shirt or t-shift but to sacrifice would be worth it surely.
I have read all the above solutions with vested interest as I suffer the same. My bulge is due to a pretty large post-op hernia. Short of wearing one of my wife's dresses I find that in the cooler weather a pair of braces covered with a light sleeveless.jumper is passable.

you don`t have to eat rabbit food to lose a few pounds. what about a gym? i love exercising lots (shhhh =more cake!). its the old energy balance: burning the energy (calories) you put in. pilates is good, small concentrated moves.
