I can recommend places, but the ones that have kids stuff that's when sadly the food isn't so good.
The Halcyon , Atherton Ave Westwood, kids outside area, new menu reasonable prices, can be noisy.
Brewers Fayre,Hampton, Not eaten there for sometime but play area indoors.

Gordon Arms, Oundle Road, menu good but not a dedicated play area
The Cuckoo, Alwalton just off the A1 nice food, bit dearer, no kiddies area
The Harvester, Lynch wood, near the Showground,no kiddies area
The Apple Cart, Stanground, meal deals, food nice and indoor play area
The Farmers, Yaxley. good food lovely carvery, but no play area.
The Admiral Wells, Holme. Lovely food, outside play area
There's a mixture, none in the town centre but easy to find and parking enjoy
