Last night n this morning we av been unable to use google search. Our wireless router is fine n we can get on net via saved links such as this site, youtube bbc iplayer etc. Just wondered if anyone had any ideas what problem may be.

I normally use sites saved in my favourites, but tried searching for a couple of things to try it out for you and I had no problems. Sorry I can't help you more.

Just checked, I am able to use Google. So if you still are not able, at least we can rule out Google being down nationally.

I had problems this morning, normally use Firefox, wasn't responding so tried Google, no response, advice was to switch off hub for 10 seconds and on again, it worked. (unplugged, didn't fiddle around with hub).

Millions all around the world are using google every second of the day, like any other website, too many users=crash. I do find at odd times Google don't work so I would guess this would be the reason. If it don't work, come back later & it will.

Last time google went down web traffic worldwide went down 40%. It was only for 5 minutes too.
It was probably a local ISP related fault.

My google search was 'down' for a while, I could only access once I'd logged in for my mail. It corrected itself without me doing anything after about a week.

I run various operating systems and search engines.

There seems to be a problem to get google when using Vista and Mozilla (Firefox). Other set ups seem to be fine
