Tis me cooks the dinner and tis me that is nightshift hence the take away.
I deliver for our butcher. Turkey is still overwhelmingly popular with our customers. A few geese, a few pieces of beef. Possibly a pheasant and partridge combo and a few leg of lamb.
Pork is usually a accompaniment dish as a ham or gammon joint.
In our house butcher's sausage meat is the big event with the pigs in blankets and sausage meat stuffing.

We normally have a Turkey crown and a ham, me being Coeliac I make my own stuffing up with Gluten Free sausage meat form M+S, would much prefer to be able to get it from a butcher though as that and the pigs in blankets is also what goes most in our house.
Alternative Christmas dinner is the norm. At Bozler Towers! In the past we have had fillet steak and chips, Last year we had bbq rack of ribs and beer can Turkey, this year it went to vote and we shall be having mixed grill!!!
Traditional Turkey, gammon and beef on Boxing day - much less stressful.
I do not like turkey and Christmas pudding. Since I choose to spend Christmas on my own with the pets, I can cook and eat whatever I like.
Duck is my favourite meat, and I always have a roast duck nowadays on Christmas Day.
This year's starter will be a mini baked Camembert studded with garlic and parsley, and dessert will be crème brûlée (came out of the oven about 30min ago).
I am going to have a curry in town with a few fellow foodies from one of my Meetup group on Boxing Day.
The rest of the duck will be consumed over the festive period, in the form of spicy duck soup and duck fried rice.
There will be snacks such as prawns and smoked salmon on crackers with special homemade sauces, and a cheese board.
25 Dec will start with a Bucks Fizz the moment I roll out of bed at about 09:00h.

One of Mrs Francais Christmas presents was that she was barred from the kitchen today, so me and my Son 30 (ex-army) did the full works for Christmas Dinner.
Being just the 3 of us the centre piece was a locally reared Chicken Crown, just 1.5kg, the taste was awesome far better than Turkey IMHO.
