OMG I don't believe it!! Parcelforce delivered the parcel at 8.15am this morning. He said I was really lucky he found us as for some reason his info gave our house name what it used to be about 30 years ago. (We dont have a number) Well done Parcelforce super service
------------- Wish I could go camping more and not have to work for a living!!!
Good news first.
After emailing Customs in Australia my granddaughter's parcel eventually turned up yesterday. Where it had been for fourteen days I don't know.
Bad news,it was delivered today but the parcel shop which backpackers use for receiving parcels from home closed early for Christmas.
I am so glad it arrived but she will have to open it for New Year.Better late than never.
PS Royal Mail tracking worked all the way so it didn't stop at Heathrow as first thought.

DPD is by far the best. They give an hours delivery slot and confirm by text. Superb.
Not always! I was waiting for a delivery from DPD. Tracked and the texts, etc. It was delivered to the chap next door, signed for... and the note telling me where it was was two doors away. I had to phone up (expensive phone call tariff) to get details of where the driver had left it. And why couldn't they have walked another 6 feet and delivered it to me - I was in and waiting!
I sent a small package containing a Christmas CD via Royal Mail first class - next day delivery - in early December.
The package didn't arrive and I was told I'd have to wait 10 working days before it would be considered lost. After 8 days the recipient was informed it was being held as there was a £3 charge to pay due to insufficient postage paid. She had to do an 8 mile round trip to retrieve it.
I'd had it weighed and checked at the Post Office, upon dispatch.
