The North Yorkshire coast is one of our favourite places for our Caravanning, and we especially love the local seafood that we can buy there, However, during early and late season quite a few of the suppliers close down until the main holiday season starts.
So, my question is, other than 'The Taste'o the Sea' down by the harbour, what other fishmongers are there around Bridlington?
We went in serch of the 'Ocean Rewards' shop in Hilderstone road, near to Tesco, but could not find it. There were however a row of recently demolished buildings where this shop may have once stood. I have emailed their web site a couple of times, but received no reply, likewise the Popular 'Arnolds' seafood shop appears closed down for winter.
Any advice on where else to buy good quality fresh fish in the area would be very much apprieciated thankyou.

I can't recommend any seafood retailers but, if you fancy some really excellent fish and chips when in that area, go up the coast a bit to Walkers fish restaurant in East Ayton.

Hiya, as far as I am aware Ocean Rewards are still there, have you tried phoning them as they may not check their email that often? Contact details for Ocean Reward here
The demolished buildings I believe are further up from the fish shop, and those have stood empty for years and are making way for new road structures, etc.
Arnolds is closed for winter and I am afraid that I don;t know of any others that you haven't mentioned.
If you fancy a meal out with some of the best lobster and sea food around, then try Naked Fish

Thankyou both for the information, l did try phoning them but again no reply, maybe they were taking a well deserved break after Christmas, especially as the weather was so bad that none of the fishing fleet had left port, and indeed a few of them were in dry dock having work done on the carpark near to the boat lift sling machine.
We will certainly give the Walkers fish and chips a try, is that the little shop oposite the petrol station and post office/shop? We are regulars at Bridlingtons 149 Chippy, which is just up the road from the Bridlington CC Site, beautiful fresh fish caught on their own boat 'Thor' along with propper Yorkshire fishcakes, crispy Scampi, crisp and dry chips and the usual traditional Chip shop fare, yummy!

Hi Ocean Rewards is still there , I drove past it today in my bus. You were looking in the right area , it is between Tescos and the row of demolished shops you mentioned along from Jacks fish and chip shop . It is only a small shop and is easily missed cheers Paul

Thankyou for that Information Paul, l will take another look next time im up that way once the caravanning season starts again, one thing that is a pet hate of mine is a fishmonger who tries to sell previously frozen fish as 'fresh' to the passing tourist trade, and believe me, l can tell the difference once its on the plate, especially when l have bought crab claws or Lobster.

If you are stuck for a fish merchant in Brid, you could always have a ride up to Filey and go to Lovitts on Mitford Street. Open all year round.
Best Wishes Sam
