I used to have a dansette radiogram , sitting on four metal wire legs , complete with a radio , the dial in the front , in blue though where yours is red bob .
And talking of led zeppelin , I saw them at Knebworth , just googled it , and it was 1979 , what a concert that was ! Jimmy Page using a violin bow to play , with lasers seemingly to bounce off the end off the bow .

Fiznlil , I read it on wiki , they did two dates , I don't remember any of the other groups there at the time , I just wanted to see led zeppelin , I remember it as being excellent , but according to reviews , they weren't themselves over pleased with the shows , I think at that time though , all the supergroups spent too long in the studio . Trying to recreate it live was expecting too much .

My older brother bought me a record player back in 1963 and a couple of singles. I remember one was the Beatles "She loves you".
I remember the record player had a garrard deck.
Up until I was 14 , I used to get all my electrical items at jumble sales , I had a job cooking at Kentucky fried chicken at 14 , I was told by the manager that I was in fact 16 . and saved up for a record player , it was a Ferguson , with slide controls ! I also bought 2 LPs the same day , fragile Yes , and one by Rod Stewart , had loads of Stewart tartan over the cover .
