Just bought a new Acer laptop but it doesn't seem to want to recognize my 3mobile dongle. Dongle functions fine on old HP running Windows 7 but doesn't want to know Acer with Windows 10. Any ideas anyone? Maybe I need to visit the 3m shop or am I missing something??     Mick

Perhaps the drivers inbuilt into the device aren't compatible with windows 10. There may be newer drivers available. I am not sure if there is a compatibility mode with windows 10.

Have you checked all the network settings for the connection. W10 has a lot mire things to adjust...eg it's good at keeping control of a metered connection. So check all the settings are correct.

I assume it recognises that you have plugged in the dongle

I had a Vodafone dongle on my last laptop, but it could only be registered for use with one device, so I can't use it on my new laptop. It is quite an old one, I think newer ones allow more than one PC to be registered.
