Hi Feeblecat,
I think, take him just be as careful as possible.
I got a new pup last year Albert (border terrier), before all his injections had kicked in we used to walk him on the beach, immediately after the tide had gone out before any other dogs had been there, the vet also said he could be with other dogs as long as we were sure they were up to date with all their own injections.
You cannot wrap them up in cotton wool, just be sensible, after all they are dogs and will happily eat poo given the chance.
By the time my pup was 12 weeks old he had been camping in Wales and had been to the Isle of Man TT's, loved it all.
Picking up a friend for him next week, Albert's sister has had a litter, so the pup will be his nephew, he will be uncle Albert.
We are calling him Frank!
Frank and Albert.
------------- As I've told my psychiatrist, you can't have too many tents.
