I phoned them to complain and got £3 off for 6 months. Im still getting the £2 hike though. Ive 6 months to look into freeview. Anyone know if it does 'catch up'?
Virgin is definitely toast this time, ive had enough.
Hi,
Think I am going to kick them into touch as well.
Freeview and my KODI box is a damn site cheaper.
I think they will lose many customers this time.
Regards,
Greg
Virgin was costing me £85 a month canceled it the wife got it in her name for £21 a mouth for a year if you get a now box you can get I player so you dont need ther box
We will ring and threaten to leave, usualy results in a price cut. Done it 3 times now. You need to go through the options until you get to payments and want to leave. Otherwise you are talking to someone in India (usually called Roger or George!) NOT!

I recently bought a now tv box for my 2nd tv. It's great for free view. I had planned to buy a smart tv for the main tv but I'm now addicted to the tivo box.
We can't leave Virgin overall as need the email address.
Plenty of non-contract options for catch-up, Netflix etc in the streaming dongles/boxes. All services can be transferred. For email I'd transition to gmail. Syncs to everything. We had a vanity domain for email on the-gallaghers.net and within a week or so I could abandon it.
Recording plus catch-up and streaming apps, YouView box. Can be bought retail. Doesn't need a contract.
Personally I wish I could access VM. We had it once at an old house and with the 100% fibre it was brilliant. But we're on a new estate now and they don't cable new estates, and never will if it involves digging. So VM would only be using BT's infrastructure, in which case what's the point.

My advice is worth no more than the price paid for it
Same here and we only use them for Broadband which to be fair is brilliant - very close to the stated speed and never drops.
We sacked their TV years ago when it was getting north of £60 a month and went Freesat - but we do get good deals on mobiles with Virgin.
Time to visit in store and look them in the eyes - far quicker than the call centres - they are doing broadband only deals now so that may be an option.

We can't leave as we have email, phone the works. OH wants something we can record programs on too so we are a bit stuck and I don't want Sky.
I kept my landline and e-mail with VIRGIN but stopped the TV...Got a freeview ariel fitted and brought a Humax freeview box...brilliant saved myself £60 per month. The Humax records all your channels etc

Every day is a gift..That's why it's called the present.
On another Virgin plus note....Just rang em to try and change mobile fones...Instead due to having to buy out remaining contract they gave me and the Mrs a free upgrade to 1Gb data (from our rubbish 250 mb)till December when we can change the fones for free....So BIG thanks to all who still pay Virgin Media a bl**dy fortune to watch the tele.
