The Great British Bake Off

Any coeliacs out there well Mary Berry was wrong you can make Yorkies with chickpea/gram flour and yes they do rise. I have just made some and they have risen well I also added a little French mustard. Mustard not a problem to me.

I am Coeliac and never ever made a successful Yorkie, btw, Never tried your mixture and to be honest I wouldn't, Gram flour is for Indian Cooking in my house. French Mustard is not a problem to Coeliacs it is English that is the problem.

I buy the frozen yorkies as apart from anything else life is far too short to make Yorkshire puddings when they are so cheap to buy even GF.

3x coeliacs in my family. Me and 2 of our daughters.

Hi Sennen, yes, TV experts, they're not as expert as they're made out to be are they. It's the same with newspapers. I read an article today about Heidelberg being one of the most beautiful cities on the Rhine. It's not on the Rhine, It's on the Neckar. There's hope for us all

I'm allergic to wheat, so it's good to hear those worked! I wish the bake off would do a gluten free bake - so many people are gluten or wheat free now.

They did a wheat-free week last year, so maybe they will again.

You can find 'safe' English Mustard at LIDL :-)

We were so happy as hadn't tasted it for years! Not quite as strong as Colmans, but nearly!

I've made Yorkshires with Doves Farm Self raising - they turned out beautifully.

Chick pea Flour is really handy for GF/WF cooking, but not sure I'd want it in my Yorkshires, it has too strong a taste for something so delicate.
