So… there’s my first rant, why do people who appear and sound like they are well educated start the conversation with the word “so”. Anyway I was in The Range the other day just after the hottest day of the year and about 25% of the floor space was undergoing a transition for, I can hardly bring myself to say it, Christmas tat. Give me a break.
A letter came today from my doctor’s practice. I have to pay them £25 before they complete an application from the constabulary for the renewal of my shotgun certificate. Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t think £25 is so bad. Not for ticking a couple of boxes on a form and putting a marker on my record for future reference. Especially when you compare this to my recent rant about £64 per/hr for a caravan repair. Anyway, what irks me is that I can’t get an appointment for 2 weeks, it takes for ever for OH to get blood test results and despite a couple of visits to the Dr. I never got the results of a scan on my shoulder. Instead he sent me away to get some Glucosamine pills. BUT the day after being asked by the constabulary for the form I get the letter for £25.
While I ‘am on, can all those people who whilst either on their phones, or with heads down, hoods up, on bikes or in mobility scooters remember that the way to use a pedestrian crossing is not to suddenly turn 90 degrees across the footpath and straight on to the crossing.
Rant over, It may not rain all day tomorrow.
