So… there’s my first rant, why do people who appear and sound like they are well educated start the conversation with the word “so”. Anyway I was in The Range the other day just after the hottest day of the year and about 25% of the floor space was undergoing a transition for, I can hardly bring myself to say it, Christmas tat. Give me a break.
A letter came today from my doctor’s practice. I have to pay them £25 before they complete an application from the constabulary for the renewal of my shotgun certificate. Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t think £25 is so bad. Not for ticking a couple of boxes on a form and putting a marker on my record for future reference. Especially when you compare this to my recent rant about £64 per/hr for a caravan repair. Anyway, what irks me is that I can’t get an appointment for 2 weeks, it takes for ever for OH to get blood test results and despite a couple of visits to the Dr. I never got the results of a scan on my shoulder. Instead he sent me away to get some Glucosamine pills. BUT the day after being asked by the constabulary for the form I get the letter for £25.
While I ‘am on, can all those people who whilst either on their phones, or with heads down, hoods up, on bikes or in mobility scooters remember that the way to use a pedestrian crossing is not to suddenly turn 90 degrees across the footpath and straight on to the crossing.
Rant over, It may not rain all day tomorrow.

I have a rant! Due to a catalogue of mistakes by the medical profession I lost an eye about 4 years ago and now won't let them within 100 yards of my remaining good eye unless I feel it needs attention.
SO...I was extremely annoyed when I went to a local optician today for a check up to see if my eye pressures are behaving themselves, as the hospital has asked me to, and to see if I need my specs renewing. They wouldn't do anything without a full eye examination of both my eyes which is what started off my bad eye in the first place.
Now whose eyes are they...mine or theirs!! Surely it's my decision as to what treatment I want them to perform. I am sick to death of medical practitioners telling me they will do certain things to my body whether I want them to or not and if I don't let them they won't treat me....legalised assault in my opinion.
Anyway, I persuaded the optician to check my eye pressures which was the main thing really and walked away not knowing if my present specs are still satisfactory or not...I guess they just didn't want my money.

With regards to the rain...what a storm it was here down south last night! I was out walking the dog when all hell broke loose. Fortunately the dog, who is scared to death of fireworks, didn't seem too stressed about thunder. We both got home looking like drowned rats.

Funnily enough I was in the range the other day and asked for some of their eggs and went I went to walk out with them they had the nerve to ask me to pay for them, I mean I ask you the sign did say Free Range eggs (by the way I didn't know ranges laid eggs) boom boom!
