Hello, I am a 3rd year student currently studying product design/design engineering in Manchester and have selected to do my final year project on outdoor living. I am specifically looking into improving the comfort associated with outdoor living.
It would be very helpful if you could participate in a quick 2 minute survey so that i can get an insight into your experiences with comfort and the outdoors.
If you have any information about your experiences, problems and issues i'd be interested to hear about them in the comments

Unless I'm mistaken, this is the third thread started by a Product Design student in as many weeks (Social Camping & another I've forgotten). Sounds like a lecturer has set an assessment this term based on camping. I wonder what next week's question will be?
I kinda think the answers are already in any number of threads we've all posted over the years. Comfort has been particularly well covered, from SIMs to heating to oncies to sleeping bags to bed socks to chairs...
But good luck with the project, hope you all get good marks - and that UKCS gets correctly attributed in the References as a source of information.
Thank you all for your participation, it's appreciated greatly. After talking to my tutor today he's made it clear that the survey was very ambiguous in what it was asking, therefore i am sorry for any confusion it may have caused.
However, i have still found all your feedback extremely helpful in identifying what is important to you and how your experiences have been with certain aspects of outdoor living. I think it is important to understand all of your needs and requirements when it comes to the products you use.
My tutor has asked me to go away and talk properly to people who participate in outdoor living regularly, to get some really focused research. Exploring what your current likes and dislikes are with the product market to date, alongside what you feel should be being done to improve your time outdoors.
So i was just wondering if any of you fancied a chat over here, in the comments, via email or any other messaging service in which id be more than happy to hear about your experiences with current products. Obviously i am more than willing to give you and UK Campsite credit and a thank you personally from myself in the report :)
