Just been reading all the gumph on Trip Advisor about pet passports; am I right in thinking that we don't need one for NI? we will probably go to Donegal for a few days too, unless things have changed I don't think there will be any border checks.

Have you checked the official web site rather than Trip Advisor, I'm sure it tells you on there. I'm pretty certain you don't need one for NI because it's still UK.

Just phoned P&O, nothing needed. Don't know if we will attempt a border crossing yet, the only time we were ever stopped at Strabane was when we went over during the foot & mouth epidemic.

Had both our dogs in NI last October via P&O no passports required just need to keep the dogs in the vehicle during crossing. Same applies in RoI.
