Sadly, my brother in law died late 2016 and the family are now in the process of sorting out his estate, including selling his home.
Problem is, he was a big fan of koi carp and there is a very large pond in his garden full of them. The estate agent dealing with the sale says they really need to go!
So....if anyone on here is a fish fan and would like to take them off our hands, feel free to contact me. I am not looking to sell the little devils, just want someone to take them away (obviously at their own cost).
I will be posting details of numbers etc. but they are sizeable fish in a very large pond
Seriously, sorry to learn of the loss of your brother. It's hard when your parents go, but I think you're conditioned to accept that. It's harder when it's a sibling.
It may be worth contacting a freshwater aquatics centre to see if they would be interested. Shirley Aquatics in Birmingham have been going for 75 years and their contact phone number is in the link below. Good luck and hope you manage to find a new location for the Koi Carp.
They may be valueable if they are prize specimens, Try contacting the Japanese water Gardens at Stapleford on the A52 Derby to Nottingham road, they may consider buying them off you.
Then you could donate any funds raised to an appropiate charity of your choice if you like.
