I think it depends on the festival and the clientele.

I think you'll be absolutely fine. Lots of festivals have a quiet/family camping field, set up in there. I'm not a solo female camper but certainly somewhere like Chagstock I'm sure you wouldn't have a problem.

I've camped solo, though not at festivals. Take an attack alarm for peace of mind (we were issued with them at work for lone working); check old news for "bother" in the past at a festival you fancy, to reassure yourself; maybe look up the advice given by the Suzie Lamplugh Trust. But I'm sure you'll be fine. Go & enjoy yourself! (I'd be more worried about the state of the toilets - what did we do before anti-bac wipes?)
------------- 2025=3 sites, 5 nights; 2024 = 20 sites / 41 nights. 2023 = 9/23. 2022 = 13/35. 2021 = 11/29. 2020 = 4/20. 2019 = 13/35. 2018 = 20/33. 2017 = 10/22. 2016 = 19/33. 2015 = 15 sites / 27 nights. Didn't count 1976 to 2014.

Is there a facebook group for the festivals you're going to? I know that for Glastonbury there is a fb group, and an offshoot of that group is one for people going solo. They all camp together and they have the best of both worlds. Somewhere safe to camp and freedom to either join up with people during the festival or do your own thing.

We've been to Beautiful Days a few years ago. Could you camp in the family section?

Green Man has a forum on it's website so the festival you have chosen may well have - you could get to know other people on there and meet up the first evening so you have someone to speak to if you get lonely
most people at festivals are there to enjoy then relaxed atmosphere - i'm sure you'll be fine
