As part of our ongoing silver wedding year celebrations we are staying in the Ribble Valley, near Clitheroe, for two nights, travelling over tomorrow. Just wondered if anyone can recommend any nice dog friendly places to eat or visit please.
Come on, you've not let me down so far...

Clitheroe town is full of cafes, restaurants and pubs, so google the town. We don't have a dog, so that aspect never crops up, but some places have outside seating if you have a warm coat.... Go to Cowmans butchers for your sausages to take home.
You should drive through the " hidden gem"that is the Trough of Bowland,go to Dunsop Bridge or Slaidburn, each has a carpark, toilets, cafe and loads of public footpaths to take the pooch a walk.
How about the Inn at Whitewell (as featured on one of the first episodes of The Trip with Steve Coogan & Rob Brydon)? Full of character, a good reputation for food, superb views from the rear terrace & most importantly very dog friendly, with plenty of footpaths nearby. About 7 miles from Clitheroe.
Thank you. Love the look of Dunsop Bridge, think that will be our first choice of destination tomorrow afternoon after we get checked in, maybe driving on to Morecambe after.

Dunsop Bridge was lovely, went yesterday afternoon. Unfortunately it was pouring with rain but that didn't stop Bailey enjoying a paddle in the river. We had a nice walk and popped into Puddleducks for cream tea, which was very nice.
Thanks for the tip!
