I use stronghold on my cat for a couple off years now but you have to get a "prescription" for them as only sold at vets but would recommend it

Mmm...definitely needs a shampoo and set! I can't stand the smell of wet dogs. I used to have to get involved with packs of hunting hounds on occasions and of course they are never washed. The smell lingered with me for days afterwards! Lovely dogs though nonetheless.

Fox hounds are amazing animals, their stamina is unbelievable.
.....But their aftershave does leave a lot to be desired! 😳😳

I usually use clearspot which has the same active ingredient as Advantage but have been told to alternate the treatment to one which has Fiproni as the active ingredient every thee months
Now some people have mentioned "Stronghold"
so completely >>>>>
thanks
We use Stronghold on our dog. It treats and prevents flea infestations, worms and ear mites (I think it's the only drop-on which covers all three).
For anyone who's ever had a dog with ear mites, this is the way to go. Far, far better and easier to administer than the dreaded ear drops. Our dog now has never had them but, after finding Stronghold when our last dog suffered from them, we always use it now as a precautionary measure.

I don't use any as standard. Overuse of chemicals is the main reason frontline is no longer effective. Fleas are becoming immune to it. I use garlic as a natural deterrent. It is not poisonous in small quantities. We haven't had fleas for 2 years and only 1 tic. Not bad for 3 dogs who spend every weekend running round farmers fields at agility shows. If they did pick them up comfortis is my choice of treatment. It's a chewable tablet only available from vets

I use bravecto, also without any issues at all...no fleas or ticks here!
There are scaremongering stories about bravecto though, which I take with a pinch of salt...but it's something you have to make your own mind up about.

I use frontline (reluctantly) on Bailey, mainly for the risk of ticks. He has no fleas but itches more the week after application, anyone else have this problem?
